2010 wine APPRECIATION classes

Our Wine Appreciation Classes are designed to help you decipher the wonderful world of wine. Our topics change every month so no two classes are the same. Every class is taught so that everyone from the beginner to the connoisseur can follow along. Classes last an hour & a half and include light cheeses. We suggest making lunch reservations at our Vintage House restaurant prior to the class as most classes include five to eight different wines.
Wine Appreciation Class Schedule:
August 29th: “Harvest and Wine & Food Pairing”
An emphasis on “sauces” and how special sauces impact the dish and the wine that best complements it. The art of wine and food pairing developed historically through local chefs pairing their cuisine with local wines.

The second installment of this pairing session will teach guests the secrets of tasty wine and chocolate pairings, while also exploring and identifying complimentary flavors of wine and chocolate using all five senses. The class will also unveil the cocoa origins and recognize the aroma and taste families of chocolate.
