Messina Hof Wine Cellars proudly hosts the 37th Annual Harvest Festival at the Bryan winery the first four weekends of August. Followed by the 2nd Annual Harvest Festival at the Fredericksburg winery the last weekend of August.
The annual event celebrates the bounty of the vineyard, in a public harvest setting similar to European harvesting practices of centuries past. Patrons, friends and family near and far congregate in the pursuit of grape picking, stomping and wine tasting/dining. Eight specialty dinners punctuate these four weeks, inclusive of Moonlit Harvest: The Search for the Golden Grape and Grand Finale Gala: Label Tribute.
At the Moonlit Harvest: The Search for the Golden Grape, patrons and media alike enjoy an evening harvest, with a new addition this year of a vineyard search for a hidden golden grape tucked inside the vines. Grape stomping and a wine dinner will follow. Live music will be featured at the Grand Finale Gala: Label Tribute specialty dinner the last weekend of Harvest in Bryan.
Three of the new, specialty evening events include: Who Killed the Winemaker: Murder Mystery Dinner; traditional dinner features such as Bounty: From Farm to Table; and vintage Hollywood in A Barrel Named Desire: Cellar Dinner & Tasting. A full calendar listing of the eight specialty dinners can be found at www.messinahof.com. Reservations for the Harvest Festival and specialty dinners can be made at 1-800-736-WINE ext 234.
