Harriet Lembecks Program Wine and Spirits

Once we had settled into our hotel we headed off to do the Messina Hof wine and Texas cheese tasting at Harriet Lembeck’s school.  It was a pleasure to share Messina Hof and the story of Texas wines with Harriet and Bill Lembeck and members of the Wine Media Guild of New York and other media.

Many of the guests were tasting our wines for the first time and learning about the explosive growth of the Texas wine industy.  It was an honor to be able to share our passion and the blessings we have enjoyed with them.  For Paul it was a fullfillment of a secret desire of the heart.  He was born in New York and was returning home.  Harriet and Bill were such gracious hostess and host.  After the tasting, Harriet escorted us to meet a nearby wine purveyor with whom we shared our wines.

The wines we tasted included:  Private Reserve Chardonnay 2007, Pinot Grigio 2007, Gewurztraminer 2008 Frizzante, Paulo Bordeaux Style Blend 2006, Paulo Cabernet Sauvignon 2006, Paulo Shiraz 2005, Paulo Merlot 2002, Private Reserve Port Messina Hof Vineyard, Angel Late Harest Riesling Merrill’s Vineyard 2007.

The cheeses we shared were from our local Water Oaks Farms.
