Founding father’s favorites

Step back into the cellars of history with a wine experience inspired by the bottles America’s founding fathers enjoyed at their own tables. Winemaker, Paul M. Bonarrigo, connects modern palates to the origins of American wine culture. Only available in the Ultimate Package.

Winemaker’s Tour & Tasting

Go on a tour led by Owner and Winemaker, Paul M. Bonarrigo. Discover rich history, see wine thieved straight from the barrel, and sip on decadent Port. Available as an add-on to any ticket package.

Barrels & BBQ

Texas BBQ meets Texas wine in this self-guided food and wine pairing. Take your time, take a breath, take seconds and enjoy this come-and-go experience. Included in Foodie and Ultimate Packages, but can be added onto Tasting Packages.

Stomp your heart out at Messina Hof’s annual Wine & Roses Festival!
Compete against other teams in the Grape Stomp Competition to become reigning champs!

Grape stomp registration is per team. Only one purchase required per team.

Stomp, yell, and cheer through multiple rounds to earn top spot. Each team that collects the most juice per round will advance.

Teams can be made up of 2-4 people, but a minimum of 2 is required. One person in the stomp bin and one person to collect the grape juice.

Team costumes are encouraged!

1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams will receive prizes.

In partnership with the Arts Center of Brazos Valley, we are able to continue to run and showcase the Texas Artist Wine Label Competition.


The Artist Competition has been a part of Messina Hof’s Wine & Roses Festival since 1986 and has continued to foster a connection between Texas art and winemaking for over 35 years.

Entry fee: $25
Additional entries: $20

All entry fees are donated directly to the Arts Center of Brazos Valley to fund local programs supporting young artists. Messina Hof does not handle these funds in any capacity.
